The October SST meeting focused on high-impact practices. The slides from the meeting can be found here and an overview is outlined below:
- We provided an overview of the high-impact practices tactic within the UI Strategic Plan and shared University of Iowa specific high-impact practices data.
- We highlighted specific examples of high-impact practices with presentations from Study Abroad and from the Hawkeye Service Breaks program.
- Ashley Finley, Vice President of Research and Senior Advisor to the President for the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), provided a keynote and answered questions about high-impact practices. View Dr. Finley’s bio.
As a follow-up to this meeting, the SST will start a working group around the high-impact practice tactic in the UI Strategic Plan.
