The March SST meeting featured the Student Government Alumni Panel, which is a part of a larger Campus Visit opportunity with alumni. During this visit, alumni meaningfully reconnect with university officials and friends, tour campus and beautiful new buildings, and most importantly, spend time with our current student leaders who are engaged in student life just as our alumni guests were. This is a proud partnership between the Division of Student Life and UICA Alumni Engagement team.
Our alumni guests this year were:
- Michael Appel (10BS, 13JD), public policy communications lead, government affairs, and regulatory affairs, Google, San Francisco, CA. Michael was the 2011-12 ECGPS (now GPSG) vice president and 2012-13 president.
- Joan Kato (03BBA), senior campaign, Foreign Policy & Strategy Lead; principal, Everyday Voters, Washington, DC. Joan was a UISG senator and involved with the cultural centers.
