The March SST meeting was held on March 7th from 10:30-12:00. The University of Iowa Center for Advancement (UICA) shared how it engages alumni and friends in support of the University of Iowa. Colin Hennessy (01BA), the UICA’s vice president for alumni and donor engagement, shared information about the team and services and support they offer. We were also joined by a panel of alumni guests who shared the impact of their engagement as student leaders and how that impact has and continues to influence their engagement as alumni. Our guests were:
- Mark Kresowik (06BA), senior policy director, American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), Washington, DC. Mark was the 2005-2006 USG President.
- Jasmine Mangrum (13BA, 18MPH, 19PHR), assistant professor of clinical practice, Department of Pharmacy, University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Jasmine was the 2016-2017 GPSG Vice President.
- Andrew Thomas (06BS, BA), attorney, U.S. Attorney’s Office – Southern District of New York, New York, NY. Andrew was the 2005-2006 UISG Chief of Staff.
- Lana Zak (00BA), anchor, CBS News, New York, NY. Lana was the 1999-2000 UISG President.
