Becoming a leader is one aspect of the University of Iowa's definition of student success. While there are a number of deep and engaging programs available to our students, there is no common launching experience and no articulated pathways/structure to support students on their leadership identity development journey. This committee has been charged with outlining what policies, practices, and programs need to be developed to support the University of Iowa as the university that creates leaders who leverage their strengths, leadership knowledge, and leadership skills to contribute to their communities now and in the future.
This committee has been charged with outlining how we can orient individuals new to the University of Iowa to our various offices and collaborative opportunities, as well as connect them to the Student Success Team.
The SST Newsletter Committee creates and distributes a newsletter regarding current student success initiatives, research, outcomes, and resources.
